Are you looking for ways to drive traffic to your website? One simple way to drive traffic to your website is by writing and submitting articles. Articles are a way to actually talk to your potential clients or future members of your organization without all the hyped up advertisements you may find all over the internet today.
You can convey more information on the things you are promoting in a more interesting and reader friendly fashion. You can create more interest in your product or service in a way that does not promote your product or service directly. Coming up with a simple article marketing plan is really pretty simple. Just start writing and submitting your article to article directories. A great place to submit your article is StreetArticles.com
Start writing and submitting anything about the benefits of your product or service in general terms without actually mentioning what you are promoting directly. For instance I promote an ebook on fishing so I wrote an article about fishing in general here. From that article I added a couple of more anchor links to another page here. And from that page I then referred the reader to my promotional sales page here.
One reason to do that is that many article directories want allow or approve links directly to an affiliate program or other product page. Actually this is good. You now have two pages promoting your product or service. So why not just make a blog here on blogger and forget about the article in an article directory. Main reason is that your article that was submitted to streetarticles.com will be index much faster by google and with a higher rank. Google will see that as new fresh content and gives the article higher marks and better rank in the search.
I submitted an article the other day to streedarticles.com which was approved a little later in the day. Once I received notification that the article was approved I then went to submit it to google. I did a search of the url to the article and found it had already been indexed by google. That is what writing articles are all about.
Believe me it is a lot easier than you think. And don't just stop with one. After writing a few articles you will get a feel of what you want to write about and it will get easier. Once you start you will begin to get more ideas for an article especially when you see the boost in traffic to your website.
With a little effort with keyword search and adding my url to a few other sites for backlinks, my page moved quickly to the front page of google. Wouldn't you think that is well worth your time? Not only is my article listed #2 on the first page of google another article on the same subject submitted to another source is #9 on first page of google, all pointed to my sales pages.
That is what writing articles can do for you. Search engine optimization, SEO for short, is not really that hard as one would think. That is where you want to find a little niche for what you are promoting.
For example if you were to do a search on google for bass fishing that is a broad term and competition for those keywords is extremely high by some heavy hitters like ESPN, Bass Pro Shops, and the like. But if you narrowed that down a little and did a search for "good baits for catching bass" you have targeted an audience and competition is not so great. What I've done was found a little niche in basically the same market that I could compete with. Type in "good baits for catching bass" and last time I check I was #2 on first page of google. Sometimes it may show my blogger post in #2 and article on #3. Look for: http://www.streetarticles.com/fishing/what-are-good-baits-for-catching-bass
The benefits of niche marketing are pretty obvious. Website traffic is the key for you to get sales on your product or service. You can buy traffic, hire someone to optimize your site, run a pay for clicks campaign or other services which are all very expensive, or do what I did.
Not long ago I came across a manual promoting how to market a product by some lady called PotPieGirl...well..the name was intriguing enough to check into this a little further. The manual was called One Week Marketing
That got my curiosity too so I jump on in and ordered the manual. Best move I ever made when it comes to marketing a business or product on the internet.
I've never ever had any page of mine ranked anywhere near the first page on Google...Now I have many on different subjects. First page on Google...Just think about what that could mean for your business.
Honestly this manual has it all from learning how to do keyword research, SEO, and getting good backlinks. It will take you step by step through the whole process of marketing your product or service. Believe me when I say it really isn't all that hard and these things are really no big secret either. They are just presented in an easy way to understand and implement.
Check it out: One Week Marketing by PotPieGirl
Good luck and best wishes.
